AlmaAI ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI companion app published by PicsyApps. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used.

Information We Collect

• Device identifier — a locally generated ID used to identify your account. AlmaAI does not require a phone number or email to sign up.
• Profile information you provide — name, gender, and date of birth. These are optional and used only to make your AI companion's replies more accurate and age-appropriate (e.g. correct pronouns).
• Avatar and conversation data — the AI companions you create (appearance, personality, language, voice settings) and the messages you exchange with them.
• Conversation memory — short summaries of past conversations, generated automatically, so your companion can remember context across sessions. Memory is stored separately per companion and is never shared between different companions on your account.
• Usage and transaction data — minutes balance, minutes earned/spent, and in-app purchase records (product purchased and purchase token, verified via Google Play Billing).
• Advertising interaction — whether you've watched a rewarded ad, for the purpose of crediting bonus minutes, via Google AdMob.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate your AI companion's replies — your messages and relevant profile/memory context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce a response.
• To remember context across conversations with the same companion.
• To track and credit your minutes balance, including free daily minutes, referral/ad/share bonuses, and purchases.
• To verify in-app purchases and subscriptions via Google Play Billing.
• To show ads via Google AdMob and credit rewarded-ad minutes.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes conversation content to generate AI companion replies.
• Google AdMob — serves ads within the app.
• Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases and subscriptions.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Retention

Your account data, conversations, and companion memory are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete any individual AI companion (and its associated conversation history and memory) at any time from within the app. Deleting a companion permanently removes its conversation history — this cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

AlmaAI is rated for users aged 13 and up and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Choices

• Providing your name, gender, and date of birth is optional.
• You can delete any AI companion, and its conversation history, at any time in the app.
• You can permanently delete your account and all its data any time — in-app (Profile → Delete Account) or at picsyapps.com/almaai/backend/delete-account, even without the app installed.

A Note on Sensitive Topics

AlmaAI is an AI companion, not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you're in distress, the app will surface a message encouraging you to reach out to someone you trust, along with the iCall helpline (9152987821, India).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
